Monel K500 Pipes contain a high amount of nickel and copper, along with controlled levels of aluminum and titanium that support age-hardening. These pipes show strong resistance to rust, pitting, and chemical attack. They work well from deep cold conditions to high heat, handling temperatures up to about 480°C. The age-hardened condition delivers very high strength levels, with tensile strength near 1100 MPa and yield strength around 790 MPa. They also have good weldability and stable performance under pressure.

Their superior hardness supports use in heavy-load parts like pump shafts and drill tools. Monel K500 offers significantly higher strength and hardness compared to Monel 400. This improvement is due to the addition of aluminum and titanium combined with an age-hardening heat treatment. As a result, Monel K500 is well suited for high-stress and dynamic applications such as pump shafts.
Age-hardening is a controlled heat treatment process that forms tiny nickel-aluminum and nickel-titanium particles within the alloy structure. These particles significantly increase tensile and yield strength, resulting in improved hardness and overall mechanical performance.
Monel K500 is ideal for marine and offshore use because it combines excellent resistance to seawater corrosion with very high mechanical strength. This allows components such as propeller shafts and fasteners to withstand both harsh saline environments and high operational stresses.
Monel K500 pipes provide superior resistance to general corrosion in many acidic and alkaline environments. They also offer better resistance to stress corrosion cracking and pitting compared to Monel 400, particularly in demanding environments such as non-aerated hydrofluoric acid.
