Monel K500 round bars from Preston Pipes & Alloys, are made from a high strength nickel copper alloy designed for demanding industrial uses. The alloy's strength and resistance to corrosion are enhanced by the addition of titanium, and aluminum. These bars offer excellent elongation, thermal stability, strong tensile and yield strength, and outstanding mechanical properties. The chemical composition of the alloy K500 includes nickel, copper, iron, manganese, silicon, sulfur, aluminum, carbon and titanium. This composition makes the bars ideal for use in high pressure, and highly corrosive environments.
Monel K500 round bars offer excellent fatigue and corrosion fatigue resistance, specially in saltwater conditions. It also provides higher mechanical properties and maintains low magnetic permeability. Due to this, round bars are appropriate for crucial applications in the pulp, and paper industry, as well as gas scrubbers, saltwater cooling systems, and oil refineries. These bars are also used in sulphuric, phosphoric, and acetic acid processing.
