Stainless steel 347 tube is a stabilized austenitic stainless steel known for intergranular corrosion resistance. It contains columbium (niobium) which prevents carbide precipitation during welding at temperatures ranging from 430°C to 900°C. This makes it suitable for high-temperature applications. Preston Pipes & Alloys is a leading stainless steel 347 tube supplier, providing high-quality tubing to critical industries. These tubes are made of chromium, nickel, silicon, manganese, and carbon in a balanced ratio for strength and corrosion resistance. It has tensile strength of 515 MPa and yield strength of 205 MPa. The material provide thermal conductivity of 16 W/m/°K and density of 7.93 g/cm³ make it suitable for structural and pressure applications.
347 stainless steel tubing works well in marine environments, high-heat chemical processing, and aerospace applications. It is also common in expansion joints, exhaust manifolds and aircraft collector rings. SS 347 ERW pipes, made by electric resistance welding, are perfect for heavily welded components. These pipes resist avoid chromium carbide buildup, due to the addition of columbium. SS 347 Seamless Pipe holds up well under high stress and heat without cracking or deforming. However, they should not be welded using oxyacetylene methods.
ASTM A213 TP347 Seamless Tube is available in sizes ranging from ½ inch to 6 inches NB. Options include bright, annealed, polished, cold-finished, and pickled surfaces. These tubes come in round, square, rectangle, and box section forms. Wall thickness can range from 0.1 mm to 60 mm, depending on your needs. They are made using both hot and cold forming technologies, depending on the application and performance requirements. ASTM A213 Tubing is versatile in a variety of industries due to its finish and shape variations.
Each stainless steel 347 tube is subjected to quality checks, which include dimensional tests, hydro tests, and surface finish inspections. All tubes meet ASTM A312 TP347 and ASME SA312 TP347 standards, ensuring consistent performance and safety. Tubes are packed using industry standards to ensure damage-free delivery.
